Bumpdate: 22 Weeks

How far along? 22 weeks
Size of Baby B? spaghetti squash- 8 inches and 1 whole pound!
Maternity Clothes? yes sir.
Stretch Marks? greased up like a turkey at any given moment. coast is clear so far.
Gender? BOY!
Sleep? been tricky lately. More midnight pit stops at the bathroom and 3:00 internal alarm clock wake-ups.
Food Craving? nothing really. Finally kicked the sweets to the curb. We've been eating "clean" in our house for a little over a week so my weekly TCBY trips were replaced with fruit.
What I miss? full range of motion.
Symptoms? starting to get back pain but nothing else really.
Movement? Oh yes. All day! We even got to feel one good kick from the outside the other night. We went from flutters to karate kid overnight.
Belly Button? In
Wedding Ring on or off? On
Best Moment of the Week? Starting to put together the nursery. We got and assembled the crib on Saturday and ordered the rocker. The rocker should be here in about 3 weeks. Can't wait for that bad boy to arrive!

20 Week Bumpdate

How far along? 20 weeks... HALFWAY!
Size of Baby B? The size of a banana.... 7 inches and 11 ounces! Getting big :)
Maternity Clothes? Yep. Still able to swing some things but most comfortable  appropriate in maternity clothes. I also went ahead and did everyone a favor at the gym but upgrading a size in my workout attire.
Weight Gain? Honestly.... I stopped keeping track.
Stretch Marks? Still keeping a very watchful on these! None so far. My mom didn't have any until monster man  my brother.... so I am hoping this little boy is kind to me.
Gender? BOY!
Sleep? Still going pretty good. Trying to get accustomed to sleeping on my side, which I am not a fan of but oh well.
Food Craving? Still sweets. Trying to cut back and still failing.
What I miss? Nothing really. Ask me next week after a weekend Mardi Gras parties and you'll have a different answer.... ;)
Symptoms? Aches in my lower belly but those come and go.
Movement? Yes, indeed! Busy man at night.
Belly Button? In
Wedding Ring on or off? On
Best Moment of the Week? Finding out the gender and being able to refer to him by his name. Certainly made everything seem more real.

It's a.....???

Last Wednesday, we HOPPED out of bed for our 8:00 appointment. I had been doing all of my required instructions.... chugging water like I was about to be dropped off in the Sahara Desert because dad-gummit this picture was going to be crystal clear! The night before, I had even given our little one 2 helpings of ice cream (don't judge). A simple bribe to cooperate for all of us. Luckily for my bladder and all present, we got right in. You really can not explain the moment while you wait for your name to be called. Its such a mix of feeling terrified, nervous, excited and anxious all at the same time.

After what seemed like an eternity of measurements............ and a few ton of flips, turns and somersaults....

No mistaking it. A sweet baby boy!

this picture/moment just melted my heart. 10 tiny toes.

We were dead set on a girl name from the second we found out we were pregnant; which should have been our first clue it was a boy ;)

He does have a name and its one that is so very dear to my heart. Although he will never meet the men who inspired his name, I know he is deeply loved by them and they are already so very proud of him.

Mamma's baby boy... forever and always.

Super Bowl

This year the Super Bowl seemed more exciting. It was fun to watch all of the coverage knowing exactly where everyone was and  it was really neat to see downtown transform over the past 2 weeks.

We had a few people over here to watch the game. Nothing too fancy but I managed to make these little guys on Saturday night.

The game went from mediocre boring to interesting at the flip of a switch (the poor electrical team at the Superdome.... don't you know they were just beside themselves). I'm annoyed the "theatrical" Ray Lewis won but relieved we were all spared the thousands of conspiracy theories that were already in the works.

The 14 year old LOVED the halftime show. I loved me some Writing's on the Wall. A short trip down memory lane with Bug A Boo, Jumpin Jumpin and Bills, Bills, Bills. One of the better halftime shows in recent years.

Hands down, the best televised part of the night was this commercial. Budweiser proves they still do have it. If this doesn't warm your heart... I'm not sure what will.

In regards to the reveal.... stay tuned. I'll be sharing tomorrow.
