Friday Favorites

Linking up for 5 on Friday again! Here are a few of my favorites from this week!

-one-

I had my 36 week appointment at the doctor yesterday and after she checked me she said she was pleasantly surprised by my progress this early on. Now I realize that my body can "stall" and I can stay here for weeks on end but at this point in the game, I'll take all of the small victories I can get!

-two-

As previously mentioned before, I don't sleep much these days. Middle of the night TV leads to infomercials... and infomercials apparently lead to purchases. I fell victim to the Wen promise of turn your lackluster locks into works of art.... and I have to say, I love it. I have been using it now for 2 weeks and I've seen huge improvements.

After catching an awful stomach bug last weekend, we decided to take a day trip to the beach on Monday for the holiday. It was just what I needed. Little bit of sun, little bit of sand and a day full of relaxing.

Little man's coming home outfit is officially cleaned, ironed and ready to go.This day gown just makes my heart skip a beat.

Wedding Day: Part 1

With the due date officially less than a month away, I am scrambling to make sure I get everything done wedding related (i.e. order pictures and maybe frame a few)

Our wedding day and everything leading up to it was just perfect. I thought I would share with you all the pictures from our day!

Getting Ready: Boys (I think the boys kicked the photographers out- there is not many of them getting ready)

Dashing Groom

Brothers

Father & Son

Here is the gift I gave Dan. He is hard to shop for. He has all of the golf gear, hes not a cuff link guy, I have already done the affordable  watch thing... So I had to think outside the box a bit. It consisted of a few parts....

Part 1: A little something to calm your nerves and in case you get cold feet

Socks and a TINY bottle of Scotch- Wanted to just calm the nerves not have a knee walking groom.

Part 2: You took a chance on me, so I took a chance of you.

Lottery tickets placed in my engagement ring box. We didn't win but that's okay.

Part 3: Never forget to have fun

Golf gift certificates

Part 4: To document our journey from this day forward

Engraved World Travel Journal

Part 5: Don't ever forget where you came from

A brick in his name at his Alma Mater.

Getting Ready: Girls

I LOVED the lace on my dress.

Favorite little flower girl

The reveal

Dad's reveal

Nana's reveal

Mr. Don's (adopted grandfather) reveal. You'll never meet a sweeter man. This picture just melts my heart.

mother/daughter

He did good. We weren't even supposed to do gifts- clearly we both listened really well.

We were passing through a local jewelry store and this caught my eye in the case. I had simply said how beautiful it was in passing, NEVER thinking I would own something so stunning. He went back and got it.

My ladies (yes, 4 out of the 5 look very alike- people still tell me)

Bridesmaid, Laura

Bridesmaid, Jade (who had just found out she was expecting her little one before she came!)

Bridesmaid, Kassy (who just got engaged- cant wait for those festivities!)

Bridesmaid, Aliece (who is just weeks behind us, expecting their little one!)

Matron of Honor, my sister, Erin

million dollar shot- 2 toddlers looking, not screaming and no hands in their mouth.

The details

I carried my Godfather's rosary. Sadly, him and his family could not be here for the day but I felt them the whole day and when I listened really hard, I heard his deep belly laugh.

My mom made my garter. I kept this one and hope to hand it down to my daughter one day

Next up, another photo dump of the ceremony!

Five On Friday

Linking up with these ladies to share 5 things I'm loving this week!

-one-

I am loving that my "wildman" and "tutoots" are officially, as of last night, back on US soil and will be here in a week and a half! While they obviously can't stay for over a month to be on baby watch.... in  a perfect world, Baby B, would come right in the middle of their visit. Enough time to snuggle and hang out with these 2 and then I to be able to have my sister here for the big day day. All in a perfect world.

-two-

This little jessie has had my undivided attention for quite some time now. Purses just aren't in the budget right now though, unfortunately. sigh.

-three-

I am loving that the calendar is showing only 19 more work days until maternity leave. I don't think there has ever been something so beautiful- I should have been a teacher. I have a feeling I could get used to this summers off kind of thing.

-four-

So excited for a 3 day weekend. enough said. I may even live it up and get a virgin daiquiri... virgin must mean no calories.

-five-

Last but not least, I am so excited to have the nursery 99.9% done. I still need to hang everything on the wall and it is unfortunately serving as a dumping ground for all things baby. Things that will have a new home once he makes his arrival. So make that 98% done.
