Five on Friday

Thank The Lord it's Friday. Mid week holidays are amazing and brutal all at the same time!

Cauliflower fried rice. Sounds terrible but tastes just like fried rice! We just added carrots and onions since it was a side but you could easily add chicken or pork and make an entire meal out of it!

Big day!!!  My arms just rejoiced from not having to haul the pumpkin seat in everywhere! He looks like such a big boy

This was our first NYE that we were home for in this house. We discovered that the people who own the property behind us put on a really good fireworks display!

Things are a bit uncertain in our world right now. I need to remind myself that what is supposed to happen will happen and that I am not the one in control.

I got a new camera for Christmas and while my sister was in town for New Years, we played a bit with it. We had taken the lights off the Christmas tree but wanted to use them one last time for the season. Be still my heart.

2013 was one for the books and I can't wait to see what 2014 has in store. While I think resolutions are a bit silly, my resolution is simple; to be a better me. Cheers to 2014

Christmas 2013

Christmas seemed to go by so quickly this year! Friday morning, before we headed out of town, we had the "elves" stop by our house so that we could celebrate Christmas with just the three of us.

The stockings were hung

Getting this opening presents gig down.

Santa came down the chimney

while the kids slept

and so much money was spent on toys when the main attraction was wrapping paper.

Santa was too good to all of us and Christmas as a family of three was amazing.
